Bangalore Palace – 4 kms
Built by Rev. J. Garrett, the first Principal of the Central High School in Bangalore, the Bangalore Palace was started in 1862 and completed in 1944. Now owned by the Mysore royal family, the palace has recently undergone a renovation.
Vidhana Soudha – 3.6 kms
The Vidhana Soudha is the seat of Karnataka's State Legislature. An imposing building built in the Neo-Dravidian style, the Vidhana Soudha was completed in 1956.
Bangalore Turf Club – Walking distance
On May 20th, 1921, the Bangalore Turf Club was inaugurated at a general meeting at the United Services Club. The race club was formed so as to promote racing and to enable enthusiasts of the sport to easily find one another.
Lalbagh Botanical Garden – 6.6 kms
The Lalbagh Botanical Garden (which translates to the Red Garden in English), is situated in southern Bangalore. Completed by Tipu Sultan, Lalbagh houses a famous glasshouse that hosts an annual flower show that is very popular among locals and tourists alike.
